Brisbane, Australia - March 24, 2011 - Outback Imaging Pty Ltd, the home of EzeScan, the most popular production scanning software in Australia, today announced the addition of Alfresco to its long list of supported EDRMS and the release of version 4.2.135.
Outback Imaging has enhanced our Colour Scanning Interface which includes a speed improvement on the enhancement and batch separation process. We have also added the Alfresco Community EDRMS solution to our popular list of EDRMS integrations.
Outback Imaging has written an integration with the Alfresco Community Addition Enterprise Content Management Solution. Alfresco is an open source Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system that manages all the content within an enterprise and provides the services and controls that manage this content.
Improved Enhancement Support - With the growing demand of scanning colour images and delivering a crystal clear quality output, the effect of larger file sizes and enhancing the documents can slow down the whole process. Outback Imaging Development has spent a considerable amount of time in streamlining and making this part of the scanning process run as quickly as possible. With the right hardware and EzeScan software we have noted up to a 20% increase in duplex colour scanning. Please contact EzeScan support for more information to see how these enhancements can help you!
Additional PDF Metadata Support - EzeScan can now populate the PDF properties of a scanned document. The title, author, summary and keywords can be populated with KFI data. This means that this data can also reside with the PDF file.
KFI data entry is now resizable - The KFI data entry screen in EzeScan can now be adjusted to have a larger font. This will make the indexing process a lot easier for Operators as it is much easier to index and verify the data.
