Silex Releases the SX-520, a Low Cost, Easy to Install, RS-232C Serial to 10/100 Ethernet Device Server

Silex Technology America, Inc., a global leader in wired and wireless networking solutions, today announced the release and availability of the Silex SX-520, an RS232C to 10/100 Ethernet Device Server that is very easy to install and very affordable.

The SX-520 was designed to take the complexity out of connecting virtually any RS232C serial device to an Ethernet network, making it quick and easy to access, monitor and control devices over the network. Key advantages of device networking include; extending the lifecycle and ROI of legacy equipment, accessing equipment and data remotely, and allowing non-networked devices to communicate with newer networked systems.SX-520

SX-520 Specification:

“Connecting serial devices to a network sounds easy, but serial data was never meant to communicate over TCP/IP networks, but the experts at Silex Technology have bridged this gap,” said David Smith, President of Silex Technology America. “This is the latest in a long line of successful solutions Silex has brought to market over the past 35 years. We pride ourselves on solving complex connectivity problems in demanding environments.”

For proof of concept and to test the software functionality immediately Silex offers the SX-3000GB USB-to-Gigabit Device Server, which has similar functionality in an external box form factor.
