Century Software's TinyTERM host-access solutions allow you to share mission-critical data and applications stored on UNIX and IBM hosts with Intranet employees, Extranet business partners, and internet customers world-wide. Industry leaders who demand the very best trust Century Software and the full-featured TinyTERM suite of terminal emulation solutions.

1024-bit SSH Security

With the addition of Secure Shell (SSH) and 1024-bit encryption, TinyTERMT Plus Edition is among the most secure terminal sessions available for connections across local area networks and the world wide internet. 1024-bit SSH (Secure Shell) encryption technology from Century Software addresses the very real issue of maintaining secure data for intranet employees, extranet business partners, and internet customers. TinyTERMT Plus Edition delivers the most secure UNIX and IBM host access available for PCs-all through the familiar interface of your favorite web browser.

"Maintaining secure data is a very real issue." said Greg Haerr, CEO of Century Software. "Constant reports of hackers breaching both government and the world's largest companies' computer systems have caused increased concern among businesses using computer systems for e-commerce and in providing general day-to-day business access to people outside your intranet."

Secure Shell (SSH) provides a secure terminal session between client and host using 1024-bit encryption. An attacker who manages to take over a network can only force SSH to disconnect. An attacker cannot play back the transmitted data or hijack the connection when encryption is enabled. SSHD (secure shell daemon) for SCO and other Unix hosts are currently available separately.

Samba SMB file and printer sharing for SCO UNIX

Samba SMB server-side file and printer sharing for SCO lets PC clients running Microsoft Windows see a UNIX host as if it were a Windows NT server. UNIX drives simply show up in the Windows "Network Neighborhood." Printers can be shared and files stored on a UNIX server can be launched, accessed, and saved_all without any additional software installed on individual PCs.

The TinyTERM emulator lets anyone access the legacy programs and data they need from their PC, anytime they need it, from anywhere.

With TinyTERM you can customize your keyboard code page configuration, and transmit and receive code page configurations, or you can choose from one of the many standard configurations supplied, ensuring compatibility with nearly any computer system. And, with Century Software's 16-bit TERM Character Set you can display any character_up to 768 of them_ensuring compatibility with virtually any language. This support for multinational keyboards and character sets makes TinyTERM your global solution.

The user-friendly features of the TinyTERM emulator get you up and running fast, and the unmatched accuracy of its emulation is totally flexible.

Standard UNIX or IBM terminal views come through a familiar browser access screen on a desktop PC. Applications that were once keyboard intensive, with TinyTERM now have the functionality of a mouse. Features such as cut, copy, paste, and sending customized data strings are a simple mouse-click away.

You have complete control over screen and text attributes so you can customize the data display for functionality or a better look and feel. You can choose the screen colors, and you can even use a background image. You can choose between 80- or 132-column mode, or full-screen display. You can use TrueType scalable fonts with complete control over text attribute mapping, such as color, normal, reverse, bold, underline, blink, bright, strike through and double strike. This allows you, for example, to customize attributes for important text fields making them easier to locate and read.

Browser-Based Host Access

TinyTERMT 4.11 offers the ability to access your UNIX and IBM applications directly from a browser. You can define TT as the default telnet application for your browser. TinyTERM v4.11 runs OLE embedded to ensure complete compatibility and optimal performance in a browser environment. Whether it's an intranet, extranet, or internet scenario, or you simply want a browser interface for ease of use, TinyTERM offers you optimal convenience and compatibility.

CScript Century Software's proprietary JavaScript-like scripting language

CScript allows you unlimited customizing possibilities. With CScript you can easily write scripts to automate even the most complex tasks you perform regularly. Just one CScript can allow you to connect to a host, log-in, transfer any number of specified files, and log -out_all beginning with the simple double click of a mouse. And, Cscript in TinyTERM v4.11 is backward compatible with the TERM Script Language (TSL) so scripts written for previous versions of TinyTERM can still be used.

Multi-Language Capabilities

TinyTERMT 4.11 offers multi-language capabilities providing the user interface in French, German and English. These translations reinforce Century Software's position as a global provider of host connectivity solutions.

TinyTERM (for International Distribution only)

TinyTERM provides convenient, intuitive, client-based access to legacy data and applications using standard Windows user interface or through an intuitive browser-based interface for superior ease-of-use and lower cost of ownership. TinyTERM gives you full access to UNIX and IBM host information and programs via 19 popular terminal emulations, File Transfers including FTP, X/Y/Z Modem, WTERMCRC, and TERMCRC, both TSL and JavaScript compiled script languages with script compiler, Host-to-Windows transparent and screen print, and English, French and German user interface translations to make the most of your client-based host access solutions. No network utilities are included with TinyTERM, as it is positioned as a terminal emulator only solution for customers not desiring to pay for more advanced, higher-end features.

TinyTERM Plus Edition - for the desktop

Installed on the desktop PC, TinyTERM Plus Edition is a fat (with features!) solution with everything needed to provide secure client -based access to legacy applications and data on your UNIX and IBM hosts over your company intranet. TinyTERM Plus Edition includes 3270 & 5250 terminal emulations and also has powerful network utilities like Samba SMB, NFS (Network File Sharing) for both client and server for quick, reliable connections to UNIX and NT servers from a desktop PC. A visual File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is included with a graphical, intuitive functionality (drag `n drop) as only TinyTERM provides. TinyTERM also supports IND$FILE options for mainframes that don't support FTP. LPR/LPD utilities are included to allow printing from a desktop application to any network printer, including PC, UNIX and Novell network printers. Additionally, UNIX applications can print to any network PC printer.

TinyTERM Web Server Edition - unlimited clients, fixed price.

Installed on a web server host, TinyTERM Web Server Edition provides secure web-to-host access to legacy applications and data over the internet. Employees, vendors, customers, partners_an unlimited number of users_can download a small client/plug-in application from your web site (or local intranet) that utilizes the power and familiarity of web browsers to access legacy applications and data. Administered from a central location, you no longer have to expend the time necessary for large-scale deployments. All the TinyTERM emulator settings are contained in a single location on the web server so web-to-host access is easy to manage. You determine access privileges and how data is displayed from a central location for clients throughout the world. And, all this functionality is available at one fixed price for true scalability.

TinyTERM Thin Client Edition - for Citrix MetaFrame or Microsoft Terminal Server

Installed on a Citrix MetaFrame or Microsoft Terminal Server Edition (TSE) server, TinyTERM Thin Client Edition provides secure access to legacy applications and data on your UNIX and IBM hosts from a desktop PC. Administration in a thin-client/server environment eliminates the hassles of large-scale deployments since all access privileges and display parameters are set from a central location and stored in a single location. Thin-client/server computing also provides more power to your clients because all data is stored on servers instead of their desktop machines.

TinyTERM SSH Server v1.0

Complete implementation of the SSHD Secure shell security daemon for the SCO UNIX operating system. This server package allows the use of TinyTERM's SSH protocol for secure access to SCO UNIX hosts. SSHD (secure shell daemon) for other Unix hosts are available separately.
